What is your role at Lamar Advertising?

What do you like about working at Lamar Advertising?

In my 17 years at Lamar what I love most is how the executive team is always open to searching for new and innovative ways to future proof a 120 year old company. It’s literally in our motto, “Innovating since 1902”  I also love that our company’s core values are built around the Golden Rule.  This seems simple to say but every employee strives to live by this daily at our jobs.

What’s your background?

I’m a graduate of Louisiana State University in Marketing and Communications.  I spent the beginning of my career in Sports Marketing, as Director of Marketing for the New Orleans Zephyrs (Houston Astros AAA) then LSU Athletics.  I’ve always had an interest in the future, even given the nickname “The Future” by my mom when I was little. I’ve always been inspired by technology and creativity which fits well in my role at Lamar Advertising.

What are the values that drive you?

Faith and Family have always been my biggest drivers and the success of my team.  There is something exciting about watching your team learn and grow in their roles and when tasks are completed.  I’ve always lived by a few key values; Curiosity, Courage & Integrity which I try to challenge myself and my team daily.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love watching my kids; Triplets (Amelie, Ellie, Jake) & Wes grow into little humans.  Putting challenges in front of them and watching them succeed; whether it’s Amelie on set acting, Ellie in cheer, Jake in baseball, Wes in piano and basketball (I’m his Coach!).  It’s very rewarding as a parent.  For myself, I love fitness and health and pushing myself to the limit, new and old skills from paddle boarding, HIIT to new challenges like skateboarding and rock climbing.

If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?

I’d love the ability to go back in time at any moment in time to see what a city was like at that exact location, I’m a history nerd!  My futuristic mind would love the ability to go forward in time and bring some technology back to the present.  Of course scrape all of that and just good old fashioned ability to fly!

What is your role at Lamar Advertising?

As a Programmatic Marketing Intern, I assist the Programmatic Team with fulfilling Proof of Performance pulls as requested for advertisements running. I work alongside Lamar's Creative and Marketing Department to compile and organize creative mocks to distribute to our partners. While also, working with Supply Side Platform partners on campaigns needing creative approval, and post buy reporting.

What do you like about working at Lamar Advertising?

I love working as part of such a welcoming team encouraging creativity and courage professionally. As an intern, we value the opportunity to learn and grow and I can truly say I am excited to come in and greet the team and get started in my role. I feel encouraged by those who have passions and goals in and out of the office. It is evident in this family-like environment as Lamar continues to expand in Programmatic the eagerness we all share as a team to educate others on everything we offer.

What are the values that drive you?

I love to surround myself with very ambitious people who will in turn motivate me and push me to be my best. I am a very optimistic person ,that’s how I was raised. I believe that honesty and courage creates humility that will take you much farther and drive you towards those goals and surpass them in your personal and professional life. I strive to make each day better than the last. The continuous and nonlinear path of success is determined by how hard you work and how bad you want it.
